The J. J. Keller® Encompass® ELD app is a driver electronic log that is regarded as the most user-friendly, versatile, and cost-effective solution in the industry. Formerly known as KellerMobile, this app is designed to comply with ELD mandates and is widely used by commercial motor vehicle drivers to digitally record their hours-of-service duty status, eliminating the need for traditional paper log books. With its intuitive interface, the app provides drivers with easy access to their hours-of-service data, allowing them to efficiently manage their on-duty and driving hours and minimize the risk of violations. Compatible with class 1-8 vehicles, it also offers a wide range of industry and state-specific HOS rulesets, accommodating various types of drivers.
The Encompass® ELD app fully complies with ELD (Part 395 Subpart B and Part 395 Appendix) regulations and is listed on the FMCSA ELD registry. It is an integral part of the comprehensive J. J. Keller® Encompass® Fleet Management System, which includes the J. J. Keller® electronic logging device and the Encompass® back-office portal.

HOW DOES IT WORK:
The Encompass® ELD app captures hours-of-service and telematics data by connecting to the engine's diagnostic port through a hardline adapter. The hardware continually records and stores engine data, which is then transmitted via Bluetooth to the Encompass® ELD application on drivers' iPhone® or iPad® devices. Real-time hours-of-service data and alerts are presented to drivers based on compliance rulesets determined by their company. Data from the iPhone® or iPad® device is transmitted via cellular connection to the Encompass® online back-office portal for auditing, reporting, and recordkeeping purposes.

 <li>HOS COMPLIANCE ALERTS: The app continuously monitors drivers' hours against the current DOT hours-of-service rules and company rulesets, providing alerts to drivers about potential violations in real-time.</li>
 <li>HOS RULE SETS: The app supports a wide range of state and industry rulesets, including US 60/70, US and Texas Oil Field, Canadian Cycle 1 & 2, US Construction, 100 & 150 Air-Mile Exempt, and more.</li>
 <li>ROADSIDE INSPECTION MODE: This mode supports all ELD requirements for roadside inspections, including a mobile display and Telematics Data Transfer method.</li>
 <li>ELECTRONIC VEHICLE INSPECTIONS (EDVIRs): The driver-friendly interface assists drivers in conducting pre- and post-trip inspections, customizable criteria, and capturing photos of defects.</li>
 <li>MOBILE MESSAGES: This feature enables efficient communication between the back office and drivers.</li>
 <li>ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONALITY: The app is equipped to handle team driving, hyrail operations, personal conveyance, exempt logging, border crossing, and more.</li>
 <li>FLEXIBILITY: Drivers can use either the J. J. Keller® Compliance Tablet™ or their own smart devices with this app.</li>
 <li>DOT DRIVER AND VEHICLE COMPLIANCE RECORDKEEPING: The Encompass® ELD app includes comprehensive back-office features for DOT driver and vehicle compliance recordkeeping, such as managing driver qualifications, alcohol and drug programs, hiring, and more.</li>
 <li>DEDICATED DRIVER SUPPORT: Drivers receive round-the-clock technical support and roadside inspection assistance. A dedicated support team ensures prompt resolution of any technical issues.</li>
 <li>DEDICATED COMPANY SUPPORT: Users of the Encompass® ELD app enjoy a range of complimentary amenities, including DataQs Challenge Service, DOT Expert Help from subject-matter experts, regulatory webcasts, an online support site with training videos, FAQs, and user guides, as well as an online training library (Spring 2020).</li>
